Calligraphy Competition — Exhibition

The School of Asian Studies under the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs is holding a competition for all those who take part in the elective Calligraphy classes (led by Arthur Fanyan, Lecturer at the Asian Studies School’s Department of Oriental Philology.

Work by participants in the competition has been displayed on the third floor of the HSE’s building at Mytnaya Ul., 46/5 (Metro – Shabolovskaya) and are on show for three weeks.

All those interested are invited to view the exhibition of competition entries submitted from people in various different faculties of the university, and to enjoy their work – which really are pieces of calligraphic art.

The competition winners will be selected by a jury comprising all the Chinese and Japanese language teachers at the School of Asian Studies’ Department of Oriental Philology. The vote will be public, and the jury will not know who submitted which piece.

The results of the competition will be announced by mid April, and the winning entries will be displayed on the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs’ website.
