Student conference “Eastern perspective” 2019
The School of Oriental Studies at the Faculty of World Economy and World Politics, HSE invites undergraduate and graduate students to participate in the “Eastern perspective” scientific student conference. The conference covers issues related to the development of Japan, China, Korean and Arab countries. The areas such as history, culture, politics, economics, international relations will be discussed.
Applications for participation in the Scientific Student Conference "Eastern Perspective" are accepted until May 15, 2019.
Requirements to applications
The application includes:
- Information about the author (name, year of study, faculty / educational program, name of educational institution)
- Contacts (email address and telephone number);
- The title and thesis of the report, no more than 2 thousand characters;
- References and sources.
Reports containing the results of original research are welcome.
First-year undergraduate students should additionally attach a review by a supervisor or another teacher. The review is made in a free form, contains an assessment of the report and a recommendation to include the report in the conference program.
Applications for participation can be submitted both in Russian and in English. Sections on English will be held on May 24, on Russian -May 25.
For non-resident speakers there is the possibility of remote participation. Those who wish to take part in the conference remotely should indicate this in their application.
The duration of the presentation at the conference is 10 minutes, another 5 minutes are allocated for questions from the audience.
