Start of submission of applications XII International Scientific Student Conference “Eastern Perspective”
May 24, 2025 The School of Oriental Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs of the National Research University Higher School of Economics invites undergraduate, graduate students and young scientists to participate in the XII international scientific student conference “Eastern Perspective”.
The conference topics cover issues related to the development of Japan, China, the states of the Korean Peninsula and countries of Middle East and Northern Africa. It is planned to work in separate sections on the Middle and Far East, within which the following subject areas will be considered: history, culture, language, politics, economics, international relations. Sections in Russian and English will be held on May 24.
Applications for participation in the conference are accepted online until May 10, 2024 inclusive. Application requirements can be found here. For out-of-town speakers there is the possibility of online participation. Those wishing to participate in the conference online indicate this in their online application. The conference organizing committee reserves the right to reject applications without specifying reasons.
The preliminary conference program will be published on the Conference website no later than May 17, 2024.
Authors of reports that took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places at the conference will have the opportunity to publish an article on the topic of their research in a collection of conference articles.
