Collection of Documents from the Russian Empire Foreign Policy Archive on Display at HSE

On January 15^th and 16^th, 2015, a Collection of Documents from the Russian Empire Foreign Policy Archive was displayed at the HSE Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs School of Asian Studies. The exhibition was dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Korea, and 150 years since Koreans first started moving to Russia.

The exhibition was initiated by the All-Russian Associations of Koreans and HSE School of Asian Studies.

The exhibition opening attracted researchers of Korea, students, and other guests. Denis Shcherbakov, Deputy Head of the School, and Valentin Chen, Editor-in-Chief of the RUSKOR (Russian-Korean) information agency, gave opening addresses.

Alexander Vorontsov, Head of the Department of Korean and Mongolia at the RAS Institute of Oriental Studies, spoke on ‘Current Russian-Korean Relations: Priorities and Prospects’.
