During the first semester of the 2018/19 academic year, I was fortunate enough go on exchange to Guangzhou University. My main goal was to improve my Chinese and to immerse myself in the culture and life of this country as much as possible.

Students of the School of Asian Studies rang in the Korean and Chinese New Years, respectively, with lively celebrations this past week.

This year's guest at the Christmas meetings of the master's programme 'Psychology in Business' was one of the most known Russian experts on the development of business relations with China, Professor Alexei Maslov. Professor Maslov is the head of the HSE School of Asian Studies. He holds the Doctor of Historical Sciences degree and is a writer and expert on unique traditions of Eastern Asia.

November 27, professor Kerry Brown, Director of the Lau China Institute at King's College, London, UK visited our university to give a lecture called “China under Xi Jinping: the Political Strategy after 2012”.

The School of Asian studies, HSE, Moscow is pleased to announce the 5th scientific student conference "Oriental perspective", which is scheduled for May 25-26, 2018.

On May 20 the HSE School of Asian Studies organized the annual ‘Oriental Crazy Day’ event. Students and lecturers worked together to capture the atmosphere of ‘the East’, and, on Saturday, the HSE building on Trifonovskaya ulitsa opened its doors to everyone interested in Asian studies.
